UCLA ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY SPINE FELLOWSHIP
The Fellow has clinical and research opportunities in all aspects of spinal disease. Clinical surgery includes anterior and posterior approaches to the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine and utilization of most instrumentation systems. Entities treated include spinal deformity, trauma, tumors, and degenerative diseases.

The fellowship also includes clinical and surgical opportunities at the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration Medical Center. The Fellow has attending privileges at this facility where there is a multitude of spinal pathology. The Fellow will also work closely with the orthopaedic surgery residents and participate in weekly teaching conferences.

Two Fellows are accepted each year. The Fellows are expected to participate in clinical and laboratory research as well as resident and student education.

Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in California.
